With a hearty “Servus!”, our local hello, we welcome you to the Parkhotel Matrei. “Our home is your home” – that’s our motto, and we truly mean it. But who are we exactly? We are the Obojes family, as well as all our staff at the Parkhotel Matrei.

The Parkhotel Matrei in Wipptal looks back on a long tradition. In the 1960s, Otto Huter, the grandfather of the current host, decided to transform the Matrei am Brenner railway station restaurant in Wipptal into a hotel. From the start, his primary goal was to offer guests a distinctive holiday experience in every respect!
The Parkhotel Matrei has been family-owned for three generations. A lot has changed over the years, but the most important thing has remained the same: the warm and charming ambience. The wood-panelled dining rooms evoke a sense of nostalgia and reflect a piece of genuine Tyrolean tradition. In combination with contemporary elements, a special and comfortable feel-good atmosphere has been created.
Our goal remains steadfast: to offer memorable holiday experiences for all. Whether you are a business traveller or an adventure holidaymaker, we aim not only to meet your expectations but to exceed them. We do this through our ongoing commitment and deep passion for hosting.

Feel right at home! The dedicated team that supports Florian Obojes always strives to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Florian Obojes has been the host at the Parkhotel Matrei since 2004, when he followed in his parents’ footsteps. He is a passionate host, an ambitious restaurateur, a spirited Tyrolean, and an avid hiker. He is both traditional and innovative, always seeking new and unique ways to enhance your holiday in Matrei am Brenner. The family-run business also benefits from the ongoing support of Elisabeth and Franz Obojes, Florian’s parents.
